What affects your payout
Junk car value is mostly scrap weight plus whatever salvageable components remain. A few things move the number:
- Complete vs. incomplete.A complete car — engine, transmission, catalytic converter, wheels, and body all present — is worth more than a stripped shell. We buy both, but complete pays more.
- Vehicle type.Diesel trucks and larger vehicles carry more recoverable metal than a small sedan.
- Current scrap market.Vehicle pricing moves with ferrous scrap rates, which we update daily on the price list.
What to have ready
- Valid photo ID
- Proof you own the vehicle (title where applicable)
